今天姐妹送了很多🍋,加上之前别人送的,家里积攒了很多,又不想浪费它们,于是决定把它们做成柠檬干! 正好科普学习学习不同的柠檬有什么区别? 顺带也查了下lime不同的种类 如果以后有时间再研究下citrus这个大家族。

先从柠檬🍋说起, 最常见的柠檬— Eureka& Lisbon 最常见超市卖的淡黄色🍋,这两种柠檬味道不差多少,都是你现在想象中最先出现的那种酸酸酸酸的柠檬,汁多糖分少。 这两种细分的话,Eureka是那种表皮坑坑洼洼,尾巴处长出来一块,切开能看见表皮较厚的,一般籽多(也有籽少、无籽的情况);Lisbon是表皮较光滑,不是尾巴而是脑袋处尖出一个小尖,切开表皮较薄,籽少汁更多。 当我们不知道这是两个品种时,会以为“啊这次买的柠檬皮好厚呀!”“啊这几个🍋突出来的没那么多呀!”,其实是两种不同品种。 就像下面我查的资料写的,这两种味道没多差别,多用于做菜料理、风味调料、饮料、烘培等 好啦,下面让我们通过图片来看一下这两种的细微差别吧

部分查阅资料: Meyer lemons: The Meyer lemon, named for Frank N. Meyer, who first imported the fruit from China in 1908, is a cross between a lemon and either an orange or a mandarin. Its orange-yellow flesh is sweeter than a lemon’s, and it has a thin, smooth skin. They can sometimes be found in specialty food stores, and are more widely available in California, where they’re the most popular variety for home growers. In the 1960s, they carried a virus that had the potential to damage other citrus crops, so their sale was restricted. A new virus-free strain has been developed, making them somewhat easier to find at farmers’ markets and produce stores.

好啦柠檬介绍完毕。 查阅柠檬树来美国的历史已经百年以上,eureka已经150年,lisbon和Meyer100多年。 储存方法:eureka和lisbon放在塑料袋(最好是带网的)在冰箱可放达两周多时间,室温则一周多;meyer在冰箱可达一周时间,室温也一样。 Store :Eureka and Lisbon lemons can be kept in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. (The Meyer lemon will keep for 1 week.) Lemons stored at room temperature will keep for about 1 week. The juice and zest of lemons can be frozen.
